А hamster’s World

The storyline features a hamster fast asleep in a green fabric hammock among wooden beams and wildflowers. Since hamsters have poor color vision, the hammock remains green, as do the flowers with their yellow centers. However, to convey the specifics of its perception, we applied a background blur effect. The hamster and the hammock are in sharp focus, while everything beyond fades into a deep, dark shadow that mimics the sensation of a twilight space or a cozy burrow. This is not a world of "color distortions," but a world of "tactile sensations": the hammock and grass are rendered with an emphasis on texture, as if you could touch them. It is a world viewed as a collection of close, secure shelters, while everything else is just a soft, warm blur. It is a world where the most important things are what is right beside you and what you can smell.
